Year-Round Golf

There are currently almost 100 golf courses throughout the country’s three main regions (north, central, and south).

Despite not yet being a ‘pro’ golf destination, Vietnam still makes an amazing option for your customers’ next golf holiday thanks to its diverse landscape, weather, and golf courses that come with exceptional service.

With each region having its own climate and seasons offering suitable options available year-round, planning your client’s golf holiday in Vietnam become easier.

Regardless of what time of year you travel to Vietnam, travelers will always come away with an unforgettable golf experience.

Cultural Golf Holidays

Vietnam is so rich in culture across its three main geographical regions. These cultural differences are reflected through each region’s cuisines, lifestyles, and even religious practices, making Vietnam perfect for all golf and non-golf travelers.

Here’s a quick glance:

Northern regionThe history and culture hub of Vietnam.

There is so much culture to explore in Ha Noi (one of the world’s oldest capitals), Ha Long Bay (a UNESCO’s natural world’s wonder), Ninh Binh (filming set of Hollywood’s Kong: Skull Island movie), or the famous Hagiang or Sapa area where you not only find breath-taking scenery, but also a variety of minor ethnic groups.

Golfers can play at ITS’ recommended courses like Sky Lake, Hilltop Valley, Stone Valley. Sample northern Vietnam golf itinerary.

Central regionThe soul of Vietnam golf and beaches.

It has the best ocean-view golf courses like Laguna Lang Co, Montgomerie Links, and Hoiana Shores. Prefer mountains and cooler weather to play? The Ba Na Hills, Dalat Palace, or SAM Tuyen Lam would be your courses.

Culture-wise, one can dive into the Vietnamese history with many ancient remains like the Imperial Citadel of Hue, Cham Museum in Danang, Hoian (former trading port in the 16th century, part of the silk path route), or My Son Sanctuary.

Just want to relax after a few rounds of golf? Central Vietnam has the best beach resorts and spa for you! Sample central Vietnam golf holiday.

Southern regionThe modern and progressive Vietnam.

This is also where The Bluffs Ho Tram Strips, one of the world’s top golf courses is located. It offers a wide range of golf options ranging from urban (Tan Son Nhat or Long Thanh golf courses in Ho Chi Minh City) to sea-bound like in Nha Trang (KN Golf Links, Diamond Bay Golf Club) or Phu Quoc Island (Vinpearl Golf Phuquoc).

Travelers can emerge themselves in the buzzling atmosphere of Saigon’s (a friendlier way to call Ho Chi Minh City) nightlife and entertainment or wind down in the Mekong Delta and discover the local life around Vietnam’s largest river system. Here is a Vietnam program including the southern region.

See? We did not exaggerate when saying there is always somewhere to go in Vietnam!

Useful Tips on Vietnam Golf Holidays

⛳️Masks are not required in public spaces unless stated otherwise by property owners. We still encourage you to have one accessible at any time in case needed.

⛳️ Vietnam is not a ‘pro’ golf destination, but it is perfect for a ‘golf and culture’ experience. Citizens of certain countries are also eligible for visa exemption.

⛳️ Costs for one round of 18-hole golf range between US$95 and $200 (including green and caddie fees) depending on location and time of the week. Some courses might include ½ cart.

⛳️ Caddie and tips are mandatory. Tipping is not included in golf price. Average tips are US$15-$25/caddie/day.

⛳️ Early morning tee times are highly recommended. The sun gets VERY hot in Vietnam. Play in the early morning to avoid the intense heat or any temperature shock. Always have sunscreen and water on you!

⛳️ Most golf courses that ITS recommend don’t require membership for foreigners.

⛳️ Private transfer is recommended to be included in golf packages.

⛳️ Most golf courses have clubs for hire if golfers do not bring their own equipment. Average rental fee starts around US$60-$80.

⛳️ Travelers flying internationally on Vietnam Airlines and Bamboo Airways flights are eligible to check 01 golf bag for free in addition to their checked luggage. These two airlines also allow free checked golf bags on all Vietnam domestic flights.

⛳️ It is quite easy to see the whole Vietnam within one trip. We recommend you an itinerary of minimum 14 nights to have enough to play golf, explore and dive into the local culture while still being able to rest and indulge. We also suggest that you start in the north and finish in the south. This would make it easier for your body to adapt to the local tropical weather.

⛳️ We also advise our agents to include a guide to escort customers from hotel to the golf courses. This is to ensure their golf experience especially as Vietnam hospitality services try to ramp up their HR to welcome back inbound travelers.

⛳️ For long haul travelers, Vietnam makes a great hub for pre and/or post tour extensions to Laos and Cambodia. It also makes a great connection to “pro” golf destinations like Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Korea, etc.

⛳️ ITS Vietnam packages usually include green fee, caddie fee, and shared cart unless indicated otherwise.
