This will be a trip your family will never forget.

In this 3-week-long package, you will be able to discover not only the biggest cities in Vietnam known for their pulsing energy, vibrancy, spectacular food, and famous sites. You will also have the chance to visit some of the smaller less known and more authentic parts of Vietnam, where you will see how some locals still carry out their daily routines as they did hundreds of years ago.

There will be alternate days and times for you to explore the surrounding area with your family on your own allowing you to relax and explore your environment at your own pace.

Apart from major cities such as Ha Noi, Ha Long, Hue or Ho Chi Minh City, you will also be visiting places like Mai Chau – a rural area set in a beautiful valley and surrounded by hills, Nam Cat Tien (or Cat Tien National Park) – one of the largest protected lowland tropical forests left in Viet Nam – and Chau Doc – a small city in Mekong Delta bordering with Cambodia.

Day 1: Arrival at Noi Bai Airport

Arrival at Noi Bai Airport, then transfer with guide to your hotel.

Day 2: Free day to explore the city

at your own pace or with one of our guides.

Day 3: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay - Shuttle bus

picks you up and transfers to Ha Long Bay. Junk ship check-in at 12 pm, lunch and dinner are included.

Day 4: Ha Long - Ninh Binh

11.30: Our guide will pick you up at the pier and transfer to Ninh Binh. Boat trip to Van Long or Kenh Ga upon arrival to Ninh Binh.

Day 5: Ninh Binh

Visit Hoa Lu in the morning, then take a boat trip in Tam Coc, free for biking around in the afternoon.

Day 6: Ninh Binh - Transfer to Cuc Phuong National Park.

Upon arrival, we will visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center which is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitation, breeding, researching and conservating the endangered primates of Viet Nam. Check-in and overnight at guest house.

Day 7: Ninh Binh

After breakfast,  we drive further to the center of the national park where we start our real jungle trek. A national park ranger will be our on-site guide to make sure we do not get lost and will explain to us about the floras and faunas in the park. Picnic lunch under a giant tree. After a 6-hour trek with lots of descents and ascents on jungle trails we make the last climb downhill to a peaceful valley and reach the village of Khanh, home to Muong ethnic minority. We will have dinner and spend our night with a family in their traditional still house.

Day 8: Ninh Binh - Mai Chau

Transfer to Mai Chau, the trip takes about 3.5h. Upon arrival, we will take a short trek around the village and take photo shots when the sun goes down in the valley.

Day 9: Mai Chau - Ha Noi - Hue

Free for biking in the morning. Transfer back to Ha Noi’s airport to fly to Hue. Upon arrival in Hue, transfer to the hotel with a guide.

Day 10: Free day

Free for leisure.

Day 11: Hue - Bach Ma

From Hue, 08.00 you will be driven to Bach Ma National Park (60 km away). Upon arrival, you will follow the Rhododendron trail and Five-Lakes cascade trail (6km in total) through evergreen forest to visit cascades and waterfalls. Your overnight accommodation is in the Park guesthouse, up on the slopes of a mountain. (Phong Lan guest house Bach Ma National Park – VIP room)

Day 12: Bach Ma - Hoi An

After breakfast, you’ll walk 500m up the mountain to the summit for the views and, hopefully, the sunrise. Then you’ll visit the Pheasant Trail (2.5 km). This will take you to visit a series of waterfalls and crystal-clear pools. In the late afternoon, we drive via Lang Co and Marble mountains to Hoi An.

Free for leisure.

Day 14: Hue - Da Lat

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Da Lat. Upon arrival in Da Lat, transfer with a guide to the hotel.

Day 15: Da Lat

From Da Lat center, we will begin our exploration of this fascinating area with a foray down to the Ta Nung Valley, made famous in the nineties for the rediscovery of the Vietnamese endemic Gray-crowned Crocias. Any passing “bird wave” will be scoured for this bird hiding within.
In the afternoon we will be heading to another local site, Tuyen Lam lake, a scenic lake surrounded by pine woodland, which holds the possibility of Vietnamese Greenfinch, the endemic species of Red Crossbill, Slender-billed Oriole, Chestnut-vented Nuthatch, Burmese Shrike, and Black-collared Starling.

Day 16: Da Lat

Langbiang is the highest peak in the area, with one of its two peaks reaching 2169m and clearly visible on clear days looming above the city of Da Lat. After taking a jeep to the trailhead we will work our way up through Bidoup Nui Ba National Park, keep an eye out for Red Crossbill, Large Cuckooshrike, and the endemics Vietnamese Greenfinch and Vietnamese Cutia, before we emerge into the denser mixed evergreen forest on the upper slopes, where we will search for the notoriously elusive Collared Laughingthrush, a species which is endemic to the plateau. Back to Da Lat’s central area.

Day 17: Da Lat - Ho Chi Minh City

Transfer with no guide to Da Lat airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, transfer with a guide to your hotel.

Day 18: Cu Chi Tunnels

Morning excursion to Cu Chi then visit Tay Ninh.

Day 19: Ho Chi Minh City

From Ho Chi Minh City,  take 4-hour transferring to Cat Tien National Park. Upon arrival, visit Wild Animal Rescue Center, Library of National Park then bike around, and overnight in the Park’ guest house.

Day 20: Ho Chi Minh City

Transfer to the Park, trekking until 15.00, then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 21: Ho Chi Minh City - Can Tho

Transfer to Ben Tre for a boat trip to Mekong Delta, then drive to Can Tho in the afternoon.

Day 22: Can Tho - Chau Doc

Boat trip in Cai Rang market in the morning, visit ancient house and temple then drive to Chau Doc.

Day 23: Chau Doc

Transfer to the ferry for a speedboat to Chau Doc. End of service.
