Have you ever seen scenic landscapes of the Mekong Delta area, which is also known as the “Nine Dragon River Delta” in Viet Nam? Have you ever wonder about the real lifestyle in Western Viet Nam? If you are not yet, this tour is definitely for you. With this tour you will be able to experience many unique activities you cannot find anywhere else such as staying in a typical Vietnamese house, visiting one of our most famous floating villages – Cai Be – or visiting Khmer ethnic group’s temples and so on.

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - Cai Be / Vinh Long (L)
Leave the bustle and hustle streets of Ho Chi Minh City for Mekong Delta by bus. Upon arrival in Cai Lay district, we start a short biking journey to Cai Be floating village. Pedal along back roads about 1.5 hours to enjoy the wonderful views. Stop for short lunch in the local family on the island before continue biking to our homestay.The typical Vietnamese house with airy rooms and outdoor kitchen and will make us enjoy our homestay with a true taste of Mekong Delta life. The rest of this afternoon is free for you to cycle the surrounding local paths. Overnight at the homestay.
Day 2: Cai Be Floating Village - Tra Vinh (B, L)
In the morning, after having a simple breakfast with locals we will transfer by bus to Vinh Long province and take a boat trip to one of the Mekong islands then cycle along narrow country paths, easy trails. On this bike routine, we will pass through orchard gardens, wooden bridges, and have some breaks to chat with welcoming villagers. The final part of this ride is along quiet roads to the charming Khmer town of Tra Vinh. There is plenty of time to explore side trails after your early arriving in this afternoon. This 2nd day of the journey will give you a great first impression of the ‘Heart of the Mekong’. Take a rest at the end of the day and overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Tra Vinh - Can Tho (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel and prepare for a unique day of riding and sightseeing. Most of the local people in this area belong to Khmer ethnic group. There will be many Khmer temples and unique houses with interesting architecture along the way. The narrow road is peaceful and very pretty all the way to Can Tho! We may also stop at Ba Om Pond for its magnificent lotus flowers and observe local women having their future prediction in the small temple nearby. On the way, you will also visit a local Buddhist Temple which is also a school to learn a school day of local children. In the late afternoon, you will arrive in Can Tho, the largest city in the Mekong Delta. Take a rest at the end of the day and overnight at your hotel.
Day 4: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
We will wake up early in the morning to enjoy the amazing views of floating market to Cai Rang by boat. After breakfast at the hotel, we will cycle along the banks of the active riverfront. Continue on a narrow paved road to Phong Dien floating market and absorb the sights of endless cottage industries, timber merchants, coconut shredders and small docks loading and unloading rice. Next, we will follow a narrow lane to explore the hidden backwaters of the Delta and the towns of O Mon or Binh Thuy. Take a short break for lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Can Tho. After checking out of the hotel, we pack our bike and return to Ho Chi Minh City by bus.
